Job Description
Job SummaryThe Hotel Receptionist is the first point of contact for guests and is responsible for providing exceptional customer service. This role involves managing check-ins and check-outs, handling reservations, addressing guest inquiries, and ensuring a smooth and welcoming front desk experience.
- ๐ Key Responsibilities1. Guest ServicesGreet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival
- Manage check-in and check-out procedures efficiently
- Verify guest information and process payments
- Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions
- Handle guest requests, complaints, and special arrangements promptly
- 2. Reservations & BookingManage room reservations via phone, email, and online systems
- Update booking information in the Property Management System (PMS)
- Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure room readiness
- Upsell rooms and hotel services when appropriate
- 3. Administrative DutiesMaintain accurate guest records and billing information
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails
- Maintain front desk logs and reports
- Ensure the front desk area is clean and organized
- 4. Communication & CoordinationCoordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments
- Report maintenance issues and guest concerns
- Assist in handling emergency situations according to hotel policies
- ๐ Qualifications & RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent (Hospitality degree preferred)
- 1โ2 years of customer service or front desk experience (preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with hotel PMS software
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
