Job Description
The Accountant cum Office Assistant will manage day-to-day accounting activities while supporting office administration and coordination.
The role requires accuracy, basic accounting knowledge, and the ability to handle travel-related documentation and vendor coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance
- Maintain daily accounts, cash book, and bank records
- Record sales, purchases, receipts, and payments
- Prepare invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers
- Track customer payments, pending balances, and follow-ups
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
- Assist in GST-related data preparation and filing support
- Maintain vendor payment schedules and expense records
- Travel & Operations SupportMaintain booking-related financial records (packages, hotels, flights, transfers)
- Coordinate with vendors for invoices and payment confirmations
- Track advance payments, balance collections, and refunds
- Support costing and profit calculation for tour packages
Office Administration
- Handle office correspondence (email, WhatsApp, documents)
- Maintain physical and digital files (guest details, invoices, permits)
- Assist with staff attendance, leave records, and basic HR support
- Coordinate office supplies and basic administrative tasks
- Reporting & DocumentationPrepare daily/weekly/monthly financial summaries
- Support management with reports and data when required
- Ensure proper filing of bills, vouchers, and statutory document
Required Skills & Qualifications
- B.Com /Diploma in Accounting (preferred)
- 1–3 years experience in accounting or office administration
- Knowledge of Tally, Excel, and basic accounting principles
- Basic understanding of GST and invoicing
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Attention to detail and confidentiality
Preferred Skills (Added Advantage)
- Experience in travel or service industry
- Knowledge of vendor billing and client invoicing
- Ability to multitask and handle pressure during peak season
