Staff – Business Valuation – Assurance - Ch1 Audit Valuation Support

Your key responsibilities

• Experience and able to execute business valuation engagements predominantly for financial reporting as well as for management planning, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), shareholder disputes and tax reporting.
• Requires the valuation team member to support core audit teams to review fair valuation, goodwill impairment testing and purchase price allocation on M&As. Should perform valuation reviews on public/private companies or investments across various industries.
• Contribute to high quality engagement report generation and detailed financial modelling.
• Liaising with the onshore team and actively contributing in project execution and delivery.
• Maintain positive, productive and professional relationships with client personnel and colleagues.
• Foster an efficient, innovative and team-oriented work environment.
• Demonstrate teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members.
• Stay abreast of current business and economic developments relevant to the client's business
• Develop/maintain productive working relationships with EY offices globally.
• Continually acquire and develop knowledge and use technology to learn, share knowledge with team members and enhance service delivery.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

• Qualified ACCA/CFA/CPA/bachelor’s or master’s degree in business/finance/accounting with good academic background
• 0 - 3 years relevant experience in valuation and financial modelling with transaction advisory/finance/equity research/asset management firm.
• Thorough understanding of corporate finance, capital budgeting, mergers and acquisitions
• Demonstrated aptitude in quantitative & qualitative analysis
• Strong valuation skills, exposure to capital markets and knowledge of Accounting standards (IFRS)
• Strong skills in MS Office applications (especially in Excel) and exposure to various analytics tools including Spotfire, Tableau, Alteryx, Excel Macros/VBA would be preferred.
• Good communication skills, interpersonal and client handling skills with the required aggression in a fast-paced competing environment.
• Outstanding organizational skills, flexibility and ability to work under tight deadlines.
