This role involves managing all resources and logistics required to carry out service and maintenance activities at customer sites or properties. The work supports, preserves, repairs, and refurbishes sold or existing products. It covers all types of maintenance services—both preventive and corrective—while also overseeing maintenance facilities and field service engineering operations. The position affects not only the quality of one’s own work, but also that of the broader team. Responsibilities include performing standard operational and technical tasks that follow established instructions and work routines. Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
This role is responsible for maintaining all models within the Multimodality portfolio in the assigned region. Duties include performing electronic and mechanical troubleshooting at the total system level, particularly for complex issues involving multiple symptoms. The position requires daily interaction with doctors and technicians to address equipment status and ensure smooth operation.
A key focus is ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Responsibilities extend to supporting account sales visits, providing training when needed, and identifying potential sales opportunities to relay to the account team.
The role also contributes to the business growth and strategic direction within the designated geographic territory. From a productivity standpoint, the position is accountable for controlling costs associated with warranty and Planned Maintenance Service (PMS) contracts.
Administrative tasks must be completed accurately and on schedule, including documentation related to Field Modification Instructions (FMIs) and PMS inspections for assigned accounts.
The position plays a leadership role in managing complex, multifunctional rooms and is responsible for maintaining robust quality systems and programs that comply with ISO 9001 standards, in alignment with the GE Service Quality Policy.
Required Qualifications:
2 plus years of experience in field Services experience in CT /MRI/Cathlab & Any other modality like Ultrasound/PET/Nuclear will be an added advantage. Comprehensive knowledge of handling multi-modalities (optional). Sought by others for guidance and advice.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
Desired Characteristics :
Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
