Housekeeping Supervisor

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of the housekeeping team to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and comfort standards are maintained across guest rooms and public areas. The role ensures efficient operations, staff discipline, and high guest satisfaction.

• Key Responsibilities Supervise and assign daily duties to housekeeping staff
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas for cleanliness and quality
• Ensure rooms are cleaned, serviced, and ready as per hotel standards
• Train new staff and conduct regular on-the-job training
• Monitor staff attendance, grooming, and performance
• Ensure proper usage and maintenance of cleaning equipment and materials
• Control linen, laundry, and housekeeping supplies
• Coordinate with Front Office and Maintenance departments
• Handle guest complaints related to housekeeping and resolve promptly
• Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and hotel policies
• Prepare daily reports and maintain housekeeping records
• Qualifications & Skills Minimum 1–3 years of experience in hotel housekeeping
• Proven experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or Senior Room Attendant
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and safety standards
• Good leadership and team-management skills
• Attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to handle guest interactions professionally
• Basic communication skills (English / local language)
• Education Hotel Management / Housekeeping certification preferred
• High school diploma minimum
