Job Summary 

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Technical Lead – Frontend who will drive the technical vision and architecture for our web platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and code quality across projects. As a Technical Lead, you will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and design teams to plan, build, and deliver high-quality features and enhancements. You’ll be responsible for making key technical decisions, setting development standards, and guiding the team through complex architectural challenges. This is a critical role for someone who enjoys combining strategic technical thinking with strong execution in a fast-paced, product-driven environment. 

Role and Responsibilities 

• You will be working in one of our multinational digital commerce teams helping deliver digital commerce platform projects. 

• Partner with users, clients, product managers, and software developers to understand and translate requirements, user workflows and UI mockups. 

• Contributes to both internal / customer projects and internal product/service advancement initiatives. 

• Improves and customizes user interface and design elements for enterprise scale products & projects - ability to translate the wireframes/visual designs to functional code meeting customer requirements with the right user experiences. 

• Works with front-end based technologies and uses functional design and analysis skills in JavaScript to design and implement front-end. 

• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs. 

• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability and passionate about developing amazing user experiences and strong attention to detail. 

• Keep up with current conventions in the web development community. 

Professional and Technical Skills: 

• Expertise in JavaScript, Next.js, Storybook (Next.js/React), Figma, Azure DevOps, Typescript, Jest (Unit testing), SASS and SCSS and microservice architecture.  

• Excellent understanding of API design and development, including RESTful services. 

• Good knowledge and understanding of Storybook (Next.js/React), Figma, Azure Devops, DOM, MVC, Responsive and SCSS, Functional JavaScript Programming with concepts like Promises, Closures 

• Strong experience in UI development and integration for web and/or mobile applications  

• Strong understanding of rendering techniques like Server Side Rendering (SSR), Client Side Rendering (CSR), Static Site Generation (SSG), Incremental Static Regeneration (ISR) Progressing Rendering/Streaming etc. 

• Extensive experience in request and response handling, partial page updates, api spec and backend integration 

• Have a good understanding of tools and libraries such as Material UI, Vuetify, Tailwind, Bootstrap, etc. 

• Setup and integration of third party libraries especially clients for authentication and backend. 

• Good to have experience in SonarQube, Fastify – BFF and Monorepo Architecture, SSR and CSR 

• Deliver against specific timescales following the methodology, aligning to processes 

• Knowledge of Agile and DevOps practices with an ownership mindset 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

• Ability to work collaboratively and independently
