SAP ECC to S/4HANA RISE PCE Brownfield System Conversion

Role: SAP FICO – Manager / Senior Consultant

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented SAP FICO Manager / Senior Consultant to support or lead the financial workstream of the SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA RISE Private Cloud Edition Brownfield Conversion.

This role focuses on financial simplification impacts, delta design, conversion readiness, functional remediation, and end-to-end testing, ensuring a smooth transition to the S/4HANA Finance (Universal Journal) environment.

Primary Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Financial Simplification Item Assessment
  • Analyze ECC Financial (FI/CO) processes and identify all S/4HANA Finance Simplification Items, including Universal Journal impacts.
  • Assess impacts to FI-GL, AP, AR, AA, CO-PA, Product Costing, Internal Orders, and Controlling structures.
  • Support CVI/BP mapping and financial master data harmonization.

• S/4HANA Finance Delta Design
  • Prepare the AS IS vs TO BE delta analysis for FICO processes such as:
    • New Asset Accounting
    • Material Ledger Mandatory Activation
    • New Credit Management (FSCM)
    • Universal Journal changes
    • CO-PA (Account-based)
    • Closing Cockpit changes
  • Conduct workshops with business stakeholders to finalize S/4 Finance design decisions.

• Configuration & Functional Remediation
• • Update configuration for mandatory S/4HANA Finance changes (e.g., ML, Parallel Valuation, Ledger settings, CO allocations).
  • Support the migration of classic AA to New Asset Accounting.
  • Validate S/4HANA Fiori apps for Finance and support role/catalog mapping with Security.

• Testing & Financial Validation
  • Prepare and execute SIT, Regression, and UAT test cycles covering:
    • Universal Journal reconciliation
    • FI/CO period-end closing cycles
    • Asset migration validations
    • CO settlement and allocation checks
    • ML postings and actual costing behavior
  • Perform financial consistency checks during mock conversions.

• Data, Migration & Integration Support
  • Work with Data Teams to validate financial master data (GL accounts, cost centers, profit centers, assets, controlling objects).
  • Validate financial balances, open items, and asset values during mock-run outputs.
  • Support integration testing with SD, MM, PP, TRM, and Project Systems.

• Cutover & Go Live Support
• Define or contribute to Finance-specific cutover tasks including:
  • • Financial period closure steps
    • GL open item management updates
    • Asset migration steps
    • Balance transfers
  • Execute go live validations and participate in hypercare stabilization.

• Stakeholder Engagement & Documentation
  • Collaborate with business SMEs, controllers, finance managers, and IT teams.
  • Prepare functional specifications, configuration documentation, test scripts, training content, and user guides.
  • Provide clear communications and status to project leadership.

Experience Requirements

Senior Consultant (5–8 years):

• Strong ECC FICO experience with exposure to at least one S/4HANA conversion.
• Good knowledge of Universal Journal, New Asset Accounting, ML, and S/4 Finance data structures.

Manager (8–12 years):

• Hands on involvement in at least one full-cycle SAP S/4HANA Finance Brownfield conversion (RISE PCE preferred).
• Ability to lead the Finance workstream and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Common Requirements (Both Levels):

• Strong understanding of ECC vs S/4HANA financial changes.
• Experience with financial period-end processes and reconciliation.
• Experience in client-facing delivery roles.

Education & Certifications

• Graduate from a recognized institution.
• SAP S/4HANA Finance certification preferred.
