• ResponsibilitiesPrepare surfaces for painting by sanding, cleaning, and masking off areas that should not be painted.
• Select and mix paints to match color specifications, including custom colors as requested by clients.
• Apply paint, primer, and clear coats using various techniques such as spray guns and airbrushes.
• Inspect painted surfaces for defects and imperfections, making necessary touch-ups or repairs as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while using hazardous materials and operating machinery.
• Collaborate with other technicians and team members to coordinate painting schedules and project timelines.
• RequirementsProven experience as an auto painter or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of different types of paint, primers, and finishes, and their application processes.
• Familiarity with automotive painting equipment, including spray guns, sanders, and polishing tools.
• Attention to detail and a keen eye for color matching and finishing techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to operate vehicles when necessary.
