Job Description
- Machine Setup: Selecting and loading the correct cutting tools, attachments, and materials (workpieces) into the machine.
- Operation: Starting the machine and monitoring the "run" to ensure the program is executing correctly.
- Quality Control: Using precision measuring instruments like micrometers, vernier calipers, and depth gauges to check if the finished part matches the blueprint.
- Maintenance: Performing basic machine upkeep, such as checking coolant levels, oiling moving parts, and cleaning the machine bed of debris (chips).
- Troubleshooting: Identifying unusual noises or deviations in the machining process and adjusting offsets or stopping the machine to prevent damage.
