Job Summary:

The accountant will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s financial records, ensuring accuracy in all financial transactions, and preparing financial statements. The role involves handling day-to-day accounting tasks, tax filings, payroll management, and supporting the Finance Manager in budgeting and audits.

Key Responsibilities:

• General Accounting: Maintain day-to-day financial transactions, including posting entries to the general ledger, reconciling accounts, and managing petty cash.
• Invoicing & Billing: Generate and process invoices for clients, ensure timely payments, and manage accounts receivable.
• Expense Management: Monitor company expenses and ensure proper documentation and approval of payments.
• Payroll: Process monthly payroll for employees, including calculating salaries, deductions, and bonuses.
• Tax Compliance: Prepare and file GST returns, TDS, and other statutory payments, ensuring compliance with all tax regulations.
• Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements with the company’s financial records on a regular basis to ensure accuracy.
• Reporting: Assist in preparing financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Budgeting: Support the Finance Manager in preparing the annual budget and monitoring expenses against budgeted figures.
• Auditing: Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary financial data and supporting documentation.
• Vendor Management: Maintain relationships with vendors, process payments, and resolve any financial discrepancies.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a car rental or hospitality industry.
• Accounting Software: Proficient in Tally, Zoho Books, or other accounting software.
• Tax Knowledge: Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and other Indian tax regulations.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Bengali.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry and financial analysis.
• Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 07:00 PM
• Flexibility required during month-end and year-end financial closing.

Salary:

₹22,000 - ₹22,000, based on experience and qualifications.
