Job Description

An Air Ticketing Executive is responsible for assisting customers with booking and managing their flight reservations, including issuing tickets and providing customer support. This role involves handling queries, resolving ticketing issues, and potentially cross-selling or upselling services. 


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Booking and Issuing Tickets: Air Ticketing Executives book and issue both domestic and international air tickets using various ticketing systems, including GDS (Global Distribution Systems) like Galileo or Amadeus. 
  2. Customer Support: They handle customer inquiries, both phone and email, providing information on flight schedules, fares, and travel regulations. 
  3. Resolving Ticketing Issues: This includes handling cancellations, changes, and refunds related to tickets. 
  4. Providing Accurate Travel Information: They provide accurate and up-to-date information about travel arrangements, including flight details, seat assignments, and baggage allowances. 
  5. Maintaining Records: They maintain accurate records of transactions and customer interactions. 
  6. Potential Upselling/Cross-selling: Some roles may involve identifying opportunities to upsell additional services or cross-sell related products. 
  7. Adhering to Regulations: They must be knowledgeable about airline, FAA, and TSA regulations.


Required Skills:

  1. Customer Service: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for interacting with customers. 
  2. Computer Skills: Proficiency in computer applications and ticketing software is essential. 
  3. Ticketing Systems Knowledge: Experience with GDS systems is often required. 
  4. Problem-Solving: Ability to effectively resolve customer inquiries and ticketing issues. 
  5. Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in booking and ticketing processes. 
  6. Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
