Job Description

The Relationship Manager (RM) is responsible for building and nurturing strong client relationships to drive business growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and achieve revenue targets. The RM serves as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions that align with the organization’s offerings.

  • Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain long-term relationships with clients to ensure loyalty and retention.
  • Understand client needs, goals, and challenges to offer appropriate products/services.
  • Achieve assigned sales, business development, and revenue targets.
  • Act as the first point of contact for client queries, issues, and escalations, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (operations, product, credit, service) to deliver seamless client experiences.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling additional products or services.
  • Track client accounts, monitor portfolio performance, and prepare regular reports.
  • Stay updated with market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Organize client meetings, presentations, and events to strengthen engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and service standards.
  • Key Skills & CompetenciesStrong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Customer-centric mindset with problem-solving ability.
  • Negotiation and persuasion skills to close deals effectively.
  • Analytical skills for financial/portfolio analysis.
  • Ability to multitask and manage client priorities under pressure.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, MS Office, and reporting tools.
  • QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven experience in client relationship management, sales, or business development (industry-specific).
  • Knowledge of financial products, banking services, or relevant sector expertise.
  • Performance Indicators (KPIs)Client satisfaction and retention rate.
  • Achievement of sales/revenue targets.
  • Growth in client portfolio.
  • Cross-sell/upsell conversion ratio.
