Job Description: Business Development Manager (HVAC and Ventilation Projects)

Role Overview

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, particularly in the high-value commercial and industrial sectors. This role focuses on securing large-scale HVAC projects, including VRF systems, chillers, and centralized cooling solutions, while maintaining a strong emphasis on long-term client relationships and excellence in after-sales service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Expansion: Identify and penetrate new market segments (Commercial Buildings, Hospitals, Hotels, Industrial Plants) for HVAC design and installation projects.
  • Lead Generation: Actively scout for upcoming tenders, government projects, and private developments.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Build and maintain strong networks with architects, MEP consultants, and interior designers to ensure the company is shortlisted for major projects.
  • Technical Consultation: Collaborate with the engineering team to present optimized cooling solutions (VRF, Chillers, AHUs) that meet client-specific technical and budgetary requirements.
  • Brand Promotion: Promote the company’s expertise in premium brands such as Carrier, Hitachi, and OGeneral, emphasizing the reliability of the equipment and the quality of the installation.
  • Retention & Service: Leverage the company’s commitment to after-sales service as a primary selling point to secure annual maintenance contracts (AMC) and repeat business.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 3+ years of proven experience in business development or sales within the HVAC or MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) industry.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of centralized air conditioning systems, including VRF technology and chilled water systems.
  • Communication: Exceptional negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Local Market Expertise: Strong knowledge of the regional engineering landscape and established local professional networks.
