Export Manager

Key responsibilities

•  Develop and implement export strategies, research new market opportunities, and build relationships with international clients and partners. 
•  Manage international sales activities, address customer inquiries, and negotiate contracts and terms with buyers and suppLY
•  Ensure all export activities comply with international trade regulations, customs laws, and policies. Prepare and maintain all necessary export documentation and records. 
• Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to manage the shipment of goods, including transportation, warehousing, and freight forwarding agreements. 
•  Monitor and manage the costs associated with exports, including shipping, taxes, and duties, and look for opportunities to reduce expenses. 
•  Monitor export performance, prepare regular reports for senior management, and analyze data to inform future decisions. 

Required skills and qualifications

•  A degree in business, marketing, finance, or a related field is often preferred. 
•  Practical experience in a similar role, or in sales and international business, is valuable. 
•  Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills are essential. 
•  A good understanding of international trade, logistics, marketing, and export regulations is required. Proficiency in export management software and ERP systems is often a plus. 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong problem-solving skills, and a collaborative approach are important for success.
