Role Overview

As an Executive– Underwriting & Client Relations, you will play a critical leadership role in ensuring robust risk assessment, structuring complex insurance programs, and supporting the business development team with technical knowledge and client support. You'll act as a key bridge between clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders to ensure technically sound and compliant solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate client risk exposures and design optimal insurance solutions across property, liability, engineering, marine, employee benefits and miscellaneous lines.
• Liaise with insurers to negotiate competitive terms and develop tailor-made proposals.
• Support the sales team with technical presentations, client meetings, and product structuring.
• Stay updated with regulatory guidelines (IRDAI) and ensure all underwriting practices are compliant.
• Review policy wordings, endorsements, and support claims from a technical standpoint.
• Drive innovation in insurance solutions and underwriting methodologies.

Qualifications

• Graduate/Postgraduate (with professional certifications in insurance, e.g., Licenciate or Associateship, from III preferred).
• Good communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and a collaborative approach.
