News reporter

Taaza TV is looking for a dynamic and versatile Digital News Reporter proficient in both Hindi and English for on-ground and desk reporting for our digital platforms. The reporter will be responsible for news gathering, scripting, on-camera reporting, and creating digital-first stories for social media, website, and the Taaza TV app.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reporting on local, regional, and national news for the digital department.
• Conducting field reporting, interviews, vox pops, and ground coverage.
• Writing accurate and engaging scripts in both Hindi and English for videos and digital stories.
• Shooting self-content using mobile.
• Presenting news on camera with clarity, confidence, and neutrality.
• Coordinating with the newsroom, PCR, and digital editors for timely output.
• Creating news explainers, short reels, and quick updates for social platforms.
• Verifying facts, cross-checking sources, and ensuring high editorial standards.
• Following breaking news developments and publishing timely updates.
• Assisting in planning and ideation for digital content.

Skills Required:

• Strong command over Hindi and English (spoken + written).
• Clear news reading voice and on-camera presence.
• Excellent news judgment and awareness of current affairs.
• Ability to write crisp scripts for short-form and long-form content.
• Basic video shooting and digital reporting skills.
• Understanding of social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, X (Twitter).
• Ability to work under deadlines and in a fast-paced news environment.
