Pharmacy Store Supervisor

The Pharmacy Supervisor will be responsible in overseeing daily pharmacy operations, including managing staff through scheduling, training, and performance evaluations. Key responsibilities involve ensuring regulatory compliance, managing inventory, and overseeing the accurate and efficient dispensing of prescriptions. The role also requires communicating with healthcare professionals and resolving customer issues. 

Key responsibilities

• Staff and operational management:
• Supervise, train, and evaluate pharmacy staff, including hiring and scheduling.
• Oversee the day-to-day workflow to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Conduct performance reviews and handle employee relations.
• Inventory and purchasing:
• Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Monitor the consumption of medical and drug materials to stay within budget constraints.
• Prescription and patient care:
• Supervise prescription processing to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Verify new prescriptions against patient profiles to detect potential drug interactions.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues to ensure patient satisfaction.
• Compliance and safety:
• Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with local laws, regulations, and safety standards.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices to minimize errors.
• Collaboration and communication:
• Communicate with healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, about drug activities, dosages, and potential interactions.
• Act as a liaison between staff, senior management, and other departments. 

Required qualifications

• Completed educational and certification requirements.
• Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role is often preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Familiarity with pharmacy software (Eco Green/Eco Green Express) and standard PC applications like Microsoft Office.
