Job Description
- Job Responsibilities:Review and evaluate applications, documents, and risk profiles
- Analyze financials, medical history (if applicable), income proofs, and supporting papers
- Assess risk and decide on approvals, declines, or modifications as per company policy
- Work closely with sales teams and relationship managers for clarification and documentation
- Ensure underwriting decisions follow internal guidelines and regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate underwriting records, reports, and case logs
- Communicate decisions clearly to stakeholders within defined TAT
- Support audit, quality checks, and process improvements
- Required Skills & Competencies:Strong analytical and decision-making ability
- Good understanding of underwriting principles (insurance/loans — specify as needed)
- Attention to detail and risk-assessment mindset
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work under deadlines and maintain accuracy
- Qualifications: Graduate (Commerce/Finance preferred)
- Experience in underwriting (insurance / loans / credit) preferred
- Knowledge of compliance and risk policies will be an added advantage
