Job Description

The Relationship Manager (RM) at PNB MetLife is responsible for building and managing long-term relationships with customers, promoting life insurance and financial products, and achieving assigned business targets. The role focuses on customer acquisition, service excellence, and portfolio management while ensuring compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.

  • šŸ“ Key ResponsibilitiesšŸ¤ Customer Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Understand customer financial needs and recommend suitable life insurance and savings solutions.
  • Provide end-to-end support throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • šŸ“ˆ Sales & Business DevelopmentGenerate business through leads, referrals, walk-ins, and branch activities.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets, premium goals, and persistency benchmarks.
  • Conduct product presentations and financial planning discussions.
  • šŸ“‹ Policy & Documentation SupportAssist customers with proposal forms, KYC documentation, and policy issuance.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of documents as per company norms.
  • Coordinate with underwriting and back-office teams for smooth processing.
  • šŸ“ž Customer Service & After-Sales SupportHandle customer queries related to policies, premium payments, renewals, and service requests.
  • Support customers during endorsements, claims assistance, and policy servicing.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • šŸ“Š Reporting & ComplianceMaintain accurate customer records and update CRM systems regularly.
  • Prepare daily/weekly sales and activity reports.
  • Ensure compliance with IRDAI regulations, PNB MetLife policies, and ethical sales practices.
  • šŸ¤ Branch & Team CoordinationWork closely with branch staff, channel partners, and management to support business growth.
  • Participate in branch campaigns, meetings, and training programs.
  • 🧠 Skills & QualificationsEducation: Graduate (any stream); MBA/Finance preferred.
  • Experience: Experience in insurance, banking, or financial services preferred (freshers may be considered).
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Sales Orientation: Target-driven with customer-centric approach.
  • Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of MS Office, email, and CRM systems.
  • Local Market Knowledge: Familiarity with Gariahat/Kolkata market is an advantage.
