Job Description

Job Title:Sales Development Representative (SDR) – BSG Academy

Location:Remote / Kolkata (Hybrid – if applicable)

Experience:0–2 years (Freshers with strong communication skills are welcome)

Role Overview


We are looking for a highly motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to support our admissions and outreach efforts. This role is calling-focused and involves engaging with prospective students, understanding their needs, and guiding them through our programs.


Key Responsibilities


  • Make outbound and inbound calls to prospective students and leads
  • Explain BSG Academy programs, courses, and value proposition clearly
  • Qualify leads based on interest, eligibility, and readiness
  • Schedule follow-up calls and counselling sessions with senior team members
  • Maintain accurate records of calls, conversations, and lead status in CRM/Excel
  • Handle basic objections and address queries related to courses, fees, and batches
  • Achieve daily/weekly call and conversion targets
  • Coordinate with the marketing and operations team for lead follow-ups
  • Provide feedback on lead quality and common student concerns


Required Skills & Qualifications


  • Excellent verbal communication skills (English & Hindi; regional language is a plus)
  • Confidence in speaking to students and parents over phone calls
  • Basic understanding of sales or customer interaction (training will be provided)
  • Ability to listen, empathize, and guide prospects
  • Organized, disciplined, and target-driven
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets, WhatsApp, and basic CRM tools


Preferred (But Not Mandatory)

  • Experience in education sales, edtech, or telesales
  • Knowledge of accounting, commerce, or finance background
  • Prior experience handling leads and follow-ups


Working Hours:Full-time | 6 days a week (with defined calling hours)
