Job Description
Job Title:Sales Development Representative (SDR) – BSG Academy
Location:Remote / Kolkata (Hybrid – if applicable)
Experience:0–2 years (Freshers with strong communication skills are welcome)
About BSG Academy- BSG Academy is an initiative by Chartered Accountants with Big 4 experience, focused on upskilling accountants and finance professionals for global opportunities. Our mission is to create industry-ready talent through practical training, real-world exposure, and strong mentorship.
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to support our admissions and outreach efforts. This role is calling-focused and involves engaging with prospective students, understanding their needs, and guiding them through our programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Make outbound and inbound calls to prospective students and leads
- Explain BSG Academy programs, courses, and value proposition clearly
- Qualify leads based on interest, eligibility, and readiness
- Schedule follow-up calls and counselling sessions with senior team members
- Maintain accurate records of calls, conversations, and lead status in CRM/Excel
- Handle basic objections and address queries related to courses, fees, and batches
- Achieve daily/weekly call and conversion targets
- Coordinate with the marketing and operations team for lead follow-ups
- Provide feedback on lead quality and common student concerns
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Excellent verbal communication skills (English & Hindi; regional language is a plus)
- Confidence in speaking to students and parents over phone calls
- Basic understanding of sales or customer interaction (training will be provided)
- Ability to listen, empathize, and guide prospects
- Organized, disciplined, and target-driven
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets, WhatsApp, and basic CRM tools
Preferred (But Not Mandatory)
- Experience in education sales, edtech, or telesales
- Knowledge of accounting, commerce, or finance background
- Prior experience handling leads and follow-ups
Working Hours:Full-time | 6 days a week (with defined calling hours)
