Job Description

The Telecaller at PNB MetLife is responsible for contacting potential and existing customers over the phone to provide information about life insurance products, generate leads, fix appointments for Relationship Managers, and support sales and customer service activities while maintaining high professional standards.

  • 📍 Key Responsibilities📞 Calling & Lead GenerationMake outbound calls to prospective customers using provided databases.
  • Handle inbound calls from customers regarding insurance products and services.
  • Generate qualified leads and appointments for Relationship Managers or sales teams.
  • 💬 Product Information & PromotionExplain basic details of PNB MetLife life insurance plans, savings plans, and protection products.
  • Share information about offers, benefits, and branch activities clearly and accurately.
  • 🗂 Data & Record ManagementMaintain accurate records of calls, leads, follow-ups, and customer responses.
  • Update customer details and call outcomes in CRM or Excel sheets.
  • 🤝 Customer SupportAnswer basic customer queries related to premiums, policy status, renewals, and documentation.
  • Route complex queries to the appropriate department or Relationship Manager.
  • 🎯 Target AchievementAchieve daily and monthly call targets, lead targets, and appointment targets.
  • Follow up with interested customers to improve conversion rates.
  • 📊 Reporting & CoordinationSubmit daily call reports and lead status updates to the supervisor.
  • Coordinate closely with branch sales and operations teams.
  • 🧠 Skills & QualificationsEducation: Minimum 10th / 12th pass; graduates preferred.
  • Experience: Freshers or candidates with telecalling/customer service experience can apply.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and confident communication in Bengali, Hindi, and basic English.
  • Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and email.
  • Personality Traits: Polite, patient, target-oriented, and customer-focused.

  • Reporting To: Sales Manager / Branch Manager

  • Compensation: Fixed salary + incentives (as per company policy)
