🎓 Job Title: Academic Coordinator

Position Overview:

The Academic Coordinator serves as a key link between school management, teachers, and students to ensure the smooth implementation of the school’s academic vision and curriculum. The role focuses on academic planning, teacher support, student performance monitoring, and maintaining high standards of teaching and learning across all grades.

Key Responsibilities

1. Academic Planning and Implementation

  • Oversee the development and execution of the school’s academic calendar and timetable.
  • Ensure alignment of teaching plans with the prescribed curriculum (CBSE / school syllabus).
  • Coordinate lesson planning, assessments, and co-curricular integration across all grades.
  • Support the introduction of innovative and student-centered teaching methods.

2. Teacher Supervision and Support

  • Guide and mentor teachers in lesson preparation, classroom management, and pedagogy.
  • Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to improve teaching quality.
  • Organize and facilitate teacher training workshops and professional development sessions.
  • Monitor teacher attendance, performance, and adherence to school policies.

3. Student Learning and Evaluation

  • Oversee academic assessments, examinations, and reporting processes.
  • Analyze student performance data to identify learning gaps and suggest remedial strategies.
  • Coordinate enrichment and remedial programs for high-achieving and struggling students.
  • Promote holistic development by balancing academics with co-curricular and moral education.

4. Communication and Coordination

  • Act as a bridge between the Principal, teachers, and parents for academic matters.
  • Prepare academic progress reports, analysis, and updates for school management.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination within the teaching team.

5. Administrative and Quality Assurance

  • Maintain academic records, reports, and documentation as required by the school or board.
  • Assist in organizing school events, examinations, and academic competitions.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, discipline, and excellence in education.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education (B.Ed./M.Ed.) or related academic field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience; prior academic coordination experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in planning, record-keeping, and using basic educational technologies.
  • Ability to mentor teachers and inspire a culture of collaboration and innovation.
