Academic Counsellor

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Student Counsellor with 1 year of experience to provide academic, career, and personal counselling to students. The ideal candidate will support student well-being, guide academic planning, and assist in career decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counselling to students on academic, personal, and emotional issues
• Guide students in career planning, course selection, and goal setting.
• Identify students facing academic or emotional challenges and provide appropriate support.
• Maintain confidential student records and counselling documentation.
• Coordinate with teachers, parents, and administration to support student development.
• Conduct workshops on study skills, stress management, and career awareness.
• Create class scheduling and manage online as well as offline attendance.
• Refer students to external professionals when required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, Education, or a related field
• Must have experience in an educational institution, Edtech company, or coaching center.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Student Counsellor or in a similar role
• Basic knowledge of counselling techniques and student development

• Ability to handle sensitive issues with confidentiality

Organizational and problem-solving skills
