Accountant

The Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with statutory requirements, and timely reporting. The role supports financial decision-making by maintaining books of accounts and managing taxation, payroll, and audits.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain books of accounts including journal entries, ledgers, and vouchers.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable.
• Manage bank reconciliation statements and cash flow tracking.
• Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory returns.
• Prepare and process payroll, salaries, and related compliance.
• Maintain purchase, sales, and expense records with proper documentation.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Monitor budgets, expenses, and financial controls.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Assist in internal and external audits.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Accounting.
• Proven experience as an Accountant or Accounts Executive.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Familiarity with GST, TDS, income tax, and statutory compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, etc.).
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and Office tools.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience in handling audits and compliance.
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and MIS reporting.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
