Accountant/ Accounts Executive

The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, including sales and purchase entries, statutory compliance, and timely filing of GST and TDS returns. The role requires strong working knowledge of accounting principles, statutory regulations, and accounting software.

Key Responsibilities

• Record day-to-day sales and purchase entries accurately in the accounting system
• Maintain books of accounts, including expenses, receipts, and journal entries
• Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and related reconciliations)
• Handle TDS compliance, including deduction, challan payment, and return filing
• Reconcile GST data with books, returns, and portal records
• Maintain proper documentation for audits, assessments, and statutory reviews
• Coordinate with vendors, customers, and internal teams for account reconciliation
• Assist in preparation of periodic financial reports as required by management
• Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws, rules, and timelines
• Support statutory audits and provide required data and clarifications

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance

Experience

• 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience
• Hands-on experience in GST and TDS return filing
• Experience in retail, garment, or manufacturing industry is preferred
