Job Title: Architectural Engineer (Estimation & Oversight)

Location: New Town, Kolkata (Office-based)

Role Objective

The Architectural Engineer will serve as a technical anchor in the office, responsible for bridging the gap between architectural designs and financial feasibility. The primary focus is on accurate cost estimation, preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and providing rigorous technical oversight of project documentation to ensure compliance with local Kolkata building bylaws.

Key Responsibilities

• Cost Estimation & BOQ:
• Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and material estimates for residential/commercial projects.
• Conduct rate analysis for materials and labour to ensure project financial feasibility.
• Monitor and manage project expenditures to prevent budget overruns.
• Technical Oversight & Documentation:
• Review and verify architectural, structural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) drawings for accuracy.
• Ensure all designs comply with Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) or NKDA (New Town Kolkata Development Authority) building bylaws and safety standards.
• Manage and archive all technical documents, Good for Construction (GFC) drawings, and statutory approval sets.
• Project Monitoring:
• Analyze site progress reports to ensure construction aligns perfectly with the approved architectural blueprints.
• Evaluate and suggest cost-effective building solutions and material alternatives without compromising quality.
