Job Description/Job Title: Field Sales Executive

Department: Sales & Business Development

Location: Dumdum

Job Summary : A Field Sales Executive at IndiaMART is responsible for driving customer acquisition and revenue growth by meeting SMEs/business owners, understanding their requirements, and selling IndiaMART’s online business solutions. The role involves field visits, client interactions, onboarding sellers, and ensuring high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Acquisition & Lead Generation : Visit SMEs and local businesses to pitch IndiaMART’s subscription-based services.
  • Generate leads through field visits, cold calls, market mapping, and referrals.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients.
  • Sales & Revenue Growth : Present and explain IndiaMART’s paid services (e.g., IndiaMART Seller Membership Plans).
  • Convert prospects into paying clients by demonstrating ROI and platform benefits.
  • Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets consistently.
  • Customer Onboarding & Support : Assist newly acquired sellers with registration, profile creation, and product listing.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding and follow-up for query resolution.
  • Provide training to clients on how to use IndiaMART’s platform effectively.
  • Market Intelligence : Understand local market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Share field insights with team leaders for strategy improvement.
  • Reporting & Documentation : Maintain records of client interactions, sales activities, and conversions.
  • Submit daily field reports and update CRM/tools as per company guidelines.
  • Required Skills & Competencies : Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Confidence in meeting clients face-to-face.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and provide relevant solutions.
  • Goal-oriented mindset with a passion for sales.
  • Basic computer knowledge (Excel, email, CRM).

Qualifications Education: Graduation in any discipline.

Experience: 0–5 years in field sales/B2B sales (Freshers welcome).

  • Experience in e-commerce, telecom, BFSI, or SMEs is an added advantage.

Other Requirements

  • Two-wheeler and valid driving license (often required).
  • Willingness to work in the field and travel within the assigned territory.
  • Smartphone with mobile internet.
