Position Title: Manager - Laboratory Operations & Growth

Location: Rajarhat

Role Overview

The Laboratory Operations & Business Development Manager will be responsible for supervising laboratory operations and managing lab technicians, while also driving patient footfall and business growth for the diagnostic centre. The role requires strong operational leadership along with the ability to build relationships with doctors, clinics, and medical representatives to strengthen the centre’s presence in the Rajarhat healthcare network.

Key Responsibilities

1. Laboratory Operations Management

• Supervise the daily functioning of the diagnostic laboratory.

• Manage and guide lab technicians and supporting staff.

• Ensure all diagnostic tests follow quality control and regulatory standards.

• Monitor sample handling, testing workflow, reporting timelines, and lab hygiene.

2. Team Leadership

• Allocate work responsibilities to lab technicians.

• Ensure accuracy and efficiency in diagnostic procedures.

• Train and mentor staff to maintain high service standards.

3. Market Networking & Relationship Building

• Develop strong relationships with medical representatives, doctors, and clinics in the New Town area.

• Promote the diagnostic centre’s services within the local medical community.

• Maintain regular engagement with healthcare professionals to increase referrals.

4. Patient Footfall & Business Growth

• Work towards increasing patient visits and diagnostic test volumes.

• Identify opportunities to expand the local patient base and referral network.

5. Reporting & Coordination

• Maintain reports on patient footfall, test volumes, and referral sources.

• Provide regular updates to management on market insights and growth opportunities.

Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

The role will be evaluated based on:

• Growth in monthly patient footfall

• Increase in referrals from doctors and clinics

• Development of new medical representative connections

• Smooth lab operations and technician performance

• Improvement in test volumes and revenue

Fixed Salary

18,000 – ₹25000 per month

(depending on experience in diagnostic labs and local network)

Incentive Structure

The candidate will also receive performance-based incentives linked to:

• Increase in monthly patient footfall

• Growth in diagnostic test bookings

• New doctor/clinic referral partnerships

• Achievement of monthly revenue targets.Male candidate preferred with good knowledge of local geography and surrounding areas.
