Job Description – Business Development Manager (BDM) –

Marketing

Location: Kolkata

 

Job Summary:

Ruia Car Rentals Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive corporate sales, client acquisition, and revenue growth. The candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships, and expanding the company’s presence in the car rental and fleet services market.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Business Development & Client Acquisition

• Identify and acquire new corporate clients

• Generate leads through field visits, networking, cold calling, and references

• Develop long-term business relationships with companies, hotels, travel agencies, event organizers, and corporate offices

• Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets

 

2. Marketing & Brand Promotion

• Plan and execute marketing strategies to promote Ruia Car Rentals

• Conduct market research and competitor analysis

• Represent the company in business meetings and networking events

• Promote fleet services, long-term rentals, corporate contracts, and event bookings

 

3. Corporate Relationship Management

• Maintain strong relationships with existing clients

• Ensure client satisfaction and repeat business

• Handle escalations and coordinate with operations team for smooth service delivery

• Negotiate pricing and contract terms with clients

 

4. Coordination with Internal Teams

• Work closely with Operations, Accounts, and Management teams

• Ensure smooth onboarding of new clients

• Support billing and payment follow-ups when required

 

5. Reporting & Target Tracking

• Maintain daily lead reports and sales pipeline

• Submit weekly and monthly performance reports

• Track revenue growth and conversion ratios

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in Business Development / Sales / Marketing (Car Rental, Fleet, Logistics preferred)

• Strong communication and negotiation skills

• Target-driven and self-motivated personality

• Ability to build and maintain corporate relationships

• Good knowledge of local business market

• Basic knowledge of MS Excel / reporting

 

Key Performance Indicators (KPI):

• Monthly revenue generated

• Number of new corporate accounts acquired

• Client retention rate

• Target achievement percentage
