Job Description

Position Summary:


Responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality food items, maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsible for providing excellent customer service, taking orders, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience.

Assist the chef and kitchen staff in food preparation, cleaning, and maintaining kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare menu items as per café standards.
  • Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet expectations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
  • Monitor inventory and assist in procurement of raw materials.
  • Comply with food safety and health regulations.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff if required.
  • Greet customers and assist them with seating.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately.
  • Serve orders promptly and professionally.
  • Handle billing and payment processes.
  • Maintain cleanliness of tables and dining area.
  • Address customer queries and complaints politely.
  • Wash and chop vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients.
  • Clean utensils, kitchen equipment, and workstations.
  • Assist in stocking and organizing supplies.
  • Dispose of waste and maintain hygiene standards.
  • Support chef in basic cooking tasks when required.

 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a chef or cook in a café or restaurant.
  • Knowledge of various cuisines and food preparation techniques.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
  • Certification in food safety and hygiene (preferred).
  • Greet customers and assist them with seating.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately.
  • Serve orders promptly and professionally.
  • Handle billing and payment processes.
  • Maintain cleanliness of tables and dining area.
  • Address customer queries and complaints politely.
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
  • Physical stamina and ability to work long hours.
  • Basic understanding of hygiene and safety practices.
