Calibration Engineer

Job Summary:The Calibration Technician ensures that measuring and test equipment operate accurately and consistently within defined specifications. This role performs calibration, verification, and adjustment of instruments used in manufacturing, testing, and quality control to maintain compliance with company, industry, and regulatory standards.

• Key Responsibilities:Calibrate and verify a variety of instruments and tools (electrical, mechanical, pressure, temperature, etc.) according to established procedures.
• Maintain accurate calibration records, certificates, and reports in compliance with ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025, or other quality management systems.
• Identify and report equipment found to be out of tolerance and assist in corrective actions.
• Manage calibration schedules to ensure all measuring devices remain within their valid calibration periods.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and technical support.
• Operate and maintain calibration standards and reference instruments.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to troubleshoot measurement issues and improve accuracy.
• Qualifications:Diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Metrology Engineering (or equivalent technical training).
• 2+ years of experience in calibration, testing, or instrumentation preferred.
• Understanding of measurement principles, uncertainty, and traceability to national or international standards (e.g., NIST).
• Proficiency in using calibration software or databases (e.g., GAGEtrak, IndySoft, MET/TRACK).
• Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Preferred Skills:Experience in regulated environments such as aerospace, medical device, or manufacturing industries.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory standards or GMP requirements.
• ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) certification is an advantage.
