For a Field Sales Executive role at United Pest Management (UPM), the ideal candidate needs to balance technical service knowledge with high-energy "boots on the ground" sales tactics. 1. Core Sales & Business Skills

 * Lead Generation & Prospecting: Ability to identify new residential and commercial opportunities through cold calling, door-to-door visits, and networking.

 * Negotiation & Closing: Expertise in handling objections regarding pricing or service efficacy and securing long-term service contracts.

 * Territory Management: Efficiently planning daily routes to maximize client visits while minimizing travel time.

 * CRM Proficiency: Staying updated with lead tracking and sales activities (standard tools like Salesforce or industry-specific software).

2. Technical & Industry Knowledge

 * Pest Identification: While training is usually provided, a basic understanding of common pests (termites, rodents, bed bugs) and their seasonal behaviours is a major plus.

 * Service Consulting: The ability to conduct a "needs analysis"—inspecting a property and recommending specific treatment plans rather than just selling a generic package.

 * Environmental Awareness: Understanding and communicating the safety of chemicals used, especially for clients with children, pets, or industrial safety standards.

3. Soft Skills & Culture Fit

 * Communication: Clear, professional verbal skills. You are the "face" of the company, often the first person a client meets.
