Position Overview

Guidance Academy, Jangipur Campus, invites applications for the position of Headmaster. The role requires an experienced academic leader who can oversee school administration, academic excellence, staff supervision, and overall institutional development in alignment with West Bengal Board norms.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification:
• Postgraduate degree in a relevant subject with B.Ed. (mandatory)
• Experience:
• Minimum 10–15 years of combined teaching and administrative experience in a recognized school
• Prior experience in a leadership role (Headmaster / Assistant Headmaster / Academic Coordinator / Teacher-in-Charge) preferred
• Age Requirement: 40 years and above

Key Responsibilities

Academic Leadership

• Ensure high standards of teaching and learning across all classes (up to XII)
• Monitor lesson planning, syllabus completion, and academic performance
• Guide teachers in curriculum delivery as per board guidelines
• Organize academic reviews, examinations, and result analysis

Administrative Duties

• Oversee day-to-day school operations
• Supervise staff performance, discipline, and attendance
• Maintain school records and documentation as per board requirements
• Coordinate admissions, timetables, and school events

Staff Management

• Lead, mentor, and motivate teaching and non-teaching staff
• Conduct meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations

Student Development

• Ensure discipline, safety, and overall well-being of students
• Promote co-curricular and extracurricular activities

Compliance & Liaison

• Ensure adherence to education board norms and policies
• Represent the school in official matters when required

Skills Required

• Strong leadership and decision-making ability
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Sound knowledge of school administration and education policies
• Ability to handle parents, staff, and students effectively
• Organizational and problem-solving skills

Preferred Profile

• Experience in a Higher Secondary (Class XII) school
• Strong background in both academics and administration

Employment Type: Full-time, Residential (This is a residential position, and the selected candidate must be willing to relocate and stay on campus. Food and accommodation will be provided by the school)
