Interior Consultant

The KRA of an Interior stylist consists of:

Designing and styling interior spaces: The primary responsibility of an interior stylist is to design and style interior spaces that meet the needs and preferences of clients. This involves selecting furniture, accessories, and décor items that complement the design vision.

Creating mood boards: Interior stylists are responsible for creating mood boards and design plans that illustrate the proposed design for a space. This helps clients visualize the end result and provides a roadmap for the project.

In depth Knowledge of furnishings and décor items: An interior stylist needs to have a good understanding of different styles, trends, and materials in order to source furnishings and décor items that meet the design brief. 

Coordination and installation: The interior stylist is also responsible for coordinating the installation of furnishings and décor items in the designated space. They may need to work with other professionals such as architects, builders, to ensure the space is properly prepared for installation.

Budget management: An interior stylist needs to be able to manage the budget for a project effectively. This involves understanding the costs of different items and being able to prioritize spending to ensure the project stays within budget.

Keeping up with industry trends: Interior styling is a constantly evolving field, and it is important for an interior stylist to stay up-to-date with industry trends and new products. This involves attending trade shows, reading industry publications, and staying informed about emerging trends in design and style.

Client communication: An interior stylist needs to have excellent communication skills in order to understand the needs and preferences of clients, and to be able to effectively communicate design ideas and plans. They need to be able to listen actively and provide clear explanations of their design vision to ensure client satisfaction.
