Kitchen Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation: Washing, peeling, chopping fruits/vegetables; preparing meats/fish; assisting with simple dishes, salads, or desserts as directed.
• Cleaning & Sanitation: Washing dishes/utensils, sanitizing prep areas, cleaning appliances, mopping floors, and disposing of kitchen waste.
• Stock & Inventory: Unloading deliveries, organizing supplies, checking sell-by dates, rotating stock, and bringing items to workstations.
• Support: Assisting chefs and kitchen staff, maintaining order, and ensuring all tasks meet health and safety standards. 

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety.
• Good time management and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Stamina and physical ability for demanding tasks.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Often no formal qualifications needed, just a willingness to learn.
