Responsibilities

We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Analyst proficient in Python and SQL to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for turning data into actionable insights. As a Python + SQL Data Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to help drive business decisions and optimize processes.

Key Technical Skills

• Develop and maintain SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various databases and sources.
• Clean, preprocess, and transform raw data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability.
• Utilize Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib for data analysis, visualization, and modeling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide analytical support for business initiatives.
• Identify trends, patterns, and insights from data to inform strategic decision-making and improve business performance.
• Create dashboards, reports, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis and perform root cause analysis to troubleshoot issues and optimize processes.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analysis and visualization.

Other skills needed for this role.

• Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, with strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Advanced SQL skills, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and optimizing database performance.
• Proficiency in Python programming for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and statistical concepts.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib/seaborn.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Any Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
• 6 plus years of experience is Python for data analysis is mandatory.
• Experience of working for a banking domain / projects is an added advantage.
