Logistics Coordinator

Job Summary

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring the movement of goods from suppliers to customers. This role ensures timely deliveries, cost efficiency, compliance with regulations, and smooth coordination between vendors, transporters, warehouses, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments (domestic and international)

Liaise with freight forwarders, transporters, customs agents, and warehouses

Prepare and verify shipping documents (invoices, packing lists, BL/AWB, e-way bills, etc.)

Track shipments and proactively resolve delays or discrepancies

Ensure compliance with customs, import/export, and statutory regulations

Optimize logistics costs and negotiate with service providers when required

Maintain accurate logistics records, MIS reports, and shipment status updates

Coordinate with production, sales, and finance teams for dispatch planning

Handle returns, shortages, damages, and claims with transporters/insurers

Monitor inventory movement and support stock reconciliation

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field

2–5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transport coordination

Strong knowledge of domestic and/or international shipping procedures

Familiarity with customs documentation and regulatory compliance

Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and logistics software

Excellent communication and coordination skills

Strong problem-solving and time-management abilities

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in manufacturing / import-export / FMCG / packaging industry

Knowledge of Incoterms, freight costing, and duty structures

Experience working with multiple transport modes (road, sea, air)
