Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.

• Maintain and troubleshoot gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, elevators, agitators, and other process plant equipment used in manufacturing operations.

• Ensure smooth functioning of machines and reduce production downtime through timely maintenance.

• Monitor equipment performance and implement planned maintenance schedules.

• Diagnose mechanical issues and implement quick corrective actions.

• Coordinate with the production team to maintain uninterrupted plant operations.

• Maintain maintenance logs, machine history records, and spare parts inventory.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and plant maintenance procedures.

• Supervise maintenance technicians and ensure proper execution of repair work.

• Suggest process improvements and equipment upgrades to improve efficiency.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance in process industries

• Experience with gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, elevators, agitators, and other mechanical equipment

• Preventive and predictive maintenance

• Troubleshooting and fault diagnosis

• Spare parts management

• Team coordination and supervision

• Knowledge of industrial safety standards

Preferred Industry Experience

Candidates with experience in paper mills, process industries, or manufacturing plants will be preferred.
