Merchandiser

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Area Merchandiser to manage and enhance product visibility, availability, and presentation across 10–15 assigned retail stores (modern trade, bakeries, and key outlets). This field-based role involves regular travel between stores to ensure our bakery products are perfectly displayed, fresh, well-stocked, and competitively presented to drive sales and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate must own a personal vehicle (two-wheeler or four-wheeler) and hold a valid driving license, as the role requires daily travel within the assigned territory for merchandising activities.

Key Responsibilities

Visit and service 10–15 assigned stores on a scheduled basis (daily/weekly plan) to ensure optimal product placement and visibility.

Merchandise bakery products according to company planograms, guidelines, and seasonal promotions — including shelf arrangement, facing, rotation, and building attractive displays.

Check and maintain product freshness by removing expired, damaged, or near-expiry items and ensuring proper stock rotation (FIFO).

Monitor and replenish stock levels in stores by coordinating with store staff and reporting low-stock or out-of-stock situations to the supply team promptly.

Set up and maintain point-of-sale materials, promotional displays, signage, and branding elements to enhance product appeal.

Ensure correct pricing, labeling, and shelf tags are in place as per company standards.

Observe competitor activity, product placement, pricing, and promotions in stores; report insights to management.

Build and maintain strong relationships with store managers, staff, and owners to facilitate smooth operations and resolve any issues on-site.

Track daily merchandising activities, sales observations, and store performance; submit regular reports (photos, notes, stock status) via mobile app or designated system.

Assist in executing in-store promotions, new product launches, and special campaigns.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of product display areas to uphold brand image.

Travel daily using personal vehicle to cover the assigned route efficiently.
