Milling Machine Operator

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manual Milling Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team at Pneumatic Power Tools. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating vertical and/or horizontal manual milling machines, interpreting technical drawings, and producing precision parts to tight tolerances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate manual milling machines to machine parts according to blueprints, sketches, and work orders.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
• Adjust machine settings, feeds, and speeds to achieve required dimensions and surface finishes.
• Measure and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments.
• Maintain equipment in proper working order, perform minor repairs, and replace worn tooling.
• Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/machining certificate preferred.
• 2+ years of experience operating manual milling machines in a production or job shop environment.
• Strong knowledge of machining practices, cutting tools, and shop math.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T symbols.
• Familiarity with measurement and inspection tools.
• Strong attention to detail and quality focus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Good hand–eye coordination and manual dexterity.
