Position Summary:
The Banquet Operation plays a pivotal role in orchestrating the success of our banquet events. This position involves overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of various banquets, ensuring impeccable service, and ensuring that our guests have a memorable experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Planning: Collaborate with clients to plan and customize banquet events, including menu selection, décor, and other special requirements.
- Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise banquet staff, ensuring they deliver exceptional service and maintain a professional appearance.
- Logistics Coordination: Manage all event logistics, from room setup to audio-visual equipment, to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Budget Management: Keep track of budget allocations and costs to ensure events remain profitable.
- Customer Service: Interact with clients and guests, addressing any concerns or special requests promptly and professionally.
- Quality Control: Maintain high standards of quality, both in terms of food and service, ensuring that the company's reputation for excellence is upheld.
- Compliance: Ensure all relevant health and safety regulations are adhered to during events.
- Problem Solving: Address any issues or challenges that may arise during events, finding solutions quickly and effectively.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Banquet Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service, event planning, and banquet operations.
- Proficiency in event management software and MS Office Suite.
- A degree or certification in Hospitality Management or a related field is a plus.
