Job Description

Job Title: Sales Manager Department: Sales Location: Kolkata (Field + Office) Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary The Sales Manager will be responsible for leading the sales team, driving revenue growth, managing sales operations, and ensuring consistent deal closures. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on involvement in high-value client conversions. The Sales Manager will act as a bridge between management, sales executives, CRM/back-office, and marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Sales Strategy & Target Achievement Develop and execute monthly and quarterly sales plans aligned with company goals

Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets

Monitor daily sales performance, pipeline, and conversions

Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective strategies

  1. Team Leadership & Management Lead, train, motivate, and monitor Sales Executives and Team Leads

Conduct daily sales huddles, weekly reviews, and performance audits

Set clear KPIs and accountability for each team member

Support team members during negotiations and complex closures

  1. Client Handling & Deal Closure Handle high-ticket and critical client cases

Participate in site visits, office meetings, and final negotiations when required

Ensure smooth client experience from lead allocation to deal closure

Resolve escalations and objections professionally

  1. Sales Process & CRM Management Ensure strict adherence to the company’s sales SOP and CRM processes

Track lead movement, follow-ups, site visits, and closure stages

Coordinate with CRM & Back Office for documentation and booking processes

Maintain accurate sales data, reports, and forecasts

  1. Coordination with Other Departments Work closely with Marketing for lead quality and campaign performance

Coordinate with Operations for inventory, pricing, and offers

Provide regular market feedback to management

  1. Reporting & Analysis Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports

Analyze conversion ratios, team productivity, and market trends

Present actionable insights and improvement plans to management

Required Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and people management skills

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

Target-driven and result-oriented mindset

Deep understanding of sales funnels and CRM systems

Problem-solving and decision-making ability

Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines

Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred)

Minimum 3–6 years of sales experience, preferably in real estate / BFSI / services

At least 1–2 years in a managerial or team leadership role

Proven track record of achieving sales targets

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Monthly and quarterly sales target achievement

Team conversion ratio and productivity

Lead-to-closure turnaround time

CRM compliance and reporting accuracy

Client satisfaction and repeat referrals
