Job Description
An Assistant Captain in a restaurant is a leadership role, supporting the main Captain by supervising front-of-house staff, managing daily service, handling guest needs, ensuring smooth operations, and training junior servers, acting as a crucial link between management and the service team to guarantee excellent guest experiences and efficient service flow.
- Supervision & Leadership: Oversees waiters and stewards, ensuring high service standards.
- Guest Relations: Greets guests, seats them, takes orders, addresses complaints, and ensures satisfaction.
Problem Solving: Manages unexpected issues like high guest volume or staff conflicts.
Skills Needed
- Strong leadership and communication.
- Good problem-solving and conflict management.
- Knowledge of food hygiene, menu, and table setting.
- Experience as a Food & Beverage Service Associate is often required
