Job Summary

The RMC Plant Mechanic is responsible for maintenance, repair, and smooth operation of all mechanical equipment at the Ready Mix Concrete plant. This includes mixers, batching plants, conveyors, pumps, transit mixers, and related machinery to ensure uninterrupted production and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of RMC plant machinery
• Repair and maintain mixers, batching plant, conveyors, silos, compressors, pumps, and transit mixers
• Diagnose mechanical faults and take corrective action promptly
• Ensure proper lubrication, alignment, and fitting of mechanical parts
• Maintain spare parts inventory and report requirements to management
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment
• Follow safety rules and plant SOPs strictly
• Maintain daily maintenance records and logbooks
• Coordinate with electrical team during combined maintenance work
• Ensure minimum downtime and maximum equipment availability
• Required Skills & KnowledgeGood knowledge of mechanical systems in RMC/Concrete plants
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, gearboxes, and welding
• Basic troubleshooting skills
• Understanding of workplace safety practices
• QualificationITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 2–5 years experience in RMC plant or similar industrial setup
• Working ConditionsFactory/Plant environment
• May require working in shifts and during breakdowns
• Exposure to dust, noise, and heavy machinery
