JOB DESCRIPTION – SENIOR SALES EXECUTIVE Department: Sales & Business Development
Industry: Industrial Automation & Electrical Projects
Location: Kolkata
Position Type: Full-time

POSITION OVER VIEW:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Sales Executive with strong exposure to Industrial Automation product.
The candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing key industrial clients, developing new markets.
This role requires a technically sound sales professional who understands VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, and can confidently interact with plant heads, maintenance managers, OEMs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Sales & Business Development
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for automation products and projects.
- Identify and develop new customers and industries including:
- Lift & Elevator industry
- Solar power plants
- Rice mills
- Cold Storage
- Crushers & material handling
- Other industrial automation segments
- Generate and convert qualified leads into confirmed orders.
2. Product & Solution Selling
- Promote and sell:
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFD)
- Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
- Human Machine Interface (HMI)
- Control Panels (MCC, PCC, PLC Panels)
- Understand customer processes and propose optimized automation solutions.
- Conduct technical discussions, product demonstrations, and presentations at customer sites.
3. Proposal & Commercial Activities
- Prepare and submit:
- Techno-commercial proposals
- Costing & pricing strategies
- BOQs and quotations
- Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, payment terms, and order closures.
- Follow up for order finalization and payment collection.
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of:
- Industrial Automation products (VFD, PLC, HMI)
- Basic understanding of industrial processes
Sales & Communication Skills
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Ability to handle C-level / senior plant personnel
- Customer-focused and solution-oriented mindset
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
- Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Automation Engineering
- Experience: 5 to 10+ years in:
- Industrial Automation Sales
- OEM / System Integrator / Panel Builder sales
- Industry Exposure Preferred:
- Lift, Solar, Rice Mill, Crusher, Manufacturing, Process Industries
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Salary: ₹50,000 – ₹60,000 per month (Fixed)
- Incentives: Performance-based incentives (if applicable)
