Head of Sales – Jewellery Packaging

Packadept

Role OverviewPackadept is building premium, functional, and scalable jewellery packaging solutions for modern jewellery brands—ranging from everyday silver to high-value gold and diamond jewellery.


We’re looking for a Head of Sales who deeply understands how the jewellery ecosystem buys, thinks, negotiates, and repeats. This role owns revenue, distribution, key accounts, and sales team performance across India (and future international markets).

Core Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Revenue GrowthOwn and execute the sales strategy for jewellery packaging across:

  • Jewellery manufacturers
  • Retail jewellery chains
  • Independent jewellers
  • D2C jewellery brands
  • Export-oriented jewellery houses


  • Drive volume-based + value-based sales (bulk orders, repeat cycles, seasonal spikes).
  • Build predictable monthly and quarterly revenue pipelines.
  • Identify white spaces in packaging formats (boxes, pouches, trays, kits, custom branding).
  • Key Account & Relationship ManagementBuild long-term relationships with jewellery decision-makers (owners, procurement heads, merchandisers).
  • Handle customisation-heavy sales cycles (branding, finishes, materials, MOQ discussions).
  • Negotiate pricing, margins, credit terms, and repeat order frameworks.
  • Convert one-time buyers into long-term packaging partners.
  • Team Leadership & ExpansionBuild and lead a field + inside sales team focused on jewellery clusters.
  • Set targets by region, segment, and account size.
  • Train the team to sell value and quality, not just price.
  • Create discipline around follow-ups, sampling, closing, and repeat business.
  • Market & Cluster DevelopmentExpand presence in key jewellery hubs (manufacturing + retail clusters).
  • Open new regional markets systematically—not randomly.
  • Build distributor or channel partner models where required.
  • Track competitor pricing, materials, and positioning in jewellery packaging.
  • Forecasting, Planning & CoordinationDeliver accurate sales forecasts aligned with production planning.
  • Coordinate with operations to manage lead times, custom orders, and bulk dispatches.
  • Share real-time market feedback on:
  • Material preferences
  • Finish trends
  • Packaging durability issues
  • Cost sensitivities


What We’re Looking For

  • 8–12+ years of experience in jewellery, jewellery packaging, luxury packaging, or allied industries.
  • Strong exposure to B2B sales with repeat-order businesses.
  • Deep understanding of how jewellers buy, negotiate, and reorder.
  • Experience handling customisation-driven sales.
  • Comfortable with bulk pricing, MOQs, margins, and working capital realities.
  • Ability to scale systems—not just chase orders.
