Job Overview: We are seeking a Senior PHP Developer in a Managerial Role to lead our Backyard Development initiative to manage a Team of Developers and ensure delivery of high quality software solutions. The Role requires both technical expertise and leadership capabilities to oversee project execution team performance and Backend system architecture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Lead and mentor a team of backend developers providing guidance support and directions.

2. Resolve team conflicts and and ensure high level of collaboration and productivity.

3. Provide technical assistance and guidance resolving complex coding challenges when required.

4. Conduct code reviews and ensure high quality coding standards are maintained across the team.

5. Design and architect scalable and efficient backend solutions.

6. Facilitate regular 1:1s code pairing and performance review.

7. Lead background architecture and development using PHP and modern framework (Laravel Codeigniter etc).

PRODUCT UNDERSTANDING AND STRATEGY:

1. Gain a deep understanding of companys products and work closely with cross -functional team to ensure that backend system aligned with business goals.

2. Collaboration with product and development teams to refine product requirement and deliver optimal backend solutions.

3. Participating in product roadmaps planning, offering technical insights that impacts the design and functionality of the product.

TEAM DEVELOPMENT AND MENTORSHIP:

1. Roster a culture of continuous learning and growing within the team.

2. Identify training and development opportunities to keep the team updated on new technologies and methodologies.

3. Help junior and mid level developer grow by providing technical mentorship and guidance.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT AND GUIDANCE:

1. Identify the areas of optimization within the backend architecture structure to ensure the system performance and scalability.

2. Dive technical improvement across the team ensuring that best practices are adopted for coding testing and deployment.

REQUIREMENTS:

EXPERIENCE:

1. Minimum of 10 years of experience as a backend developer with atleast 5 years of experience in managerial position.

2. Proven track records of managing a backend developer team ideally in a Senior or Lead Role.

3. Experience working with cross-functional team (Product Design Marketing ) and collaboration with various departments.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

1. Experience in Backend Development using Python Node.js,

2. Strong understanding of software architecture cloud technologies and APIs.

3. Experience working with databases both relational and NoSQL.

4. Strong knowledge of DevOps CLCD processes and automated testing framework.

LEADERSHIP AND COMMUNICATION:

1. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate diverse team of developers.

2. Strong problem solving abilities and a passion for finding innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.

3. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
