Telecaller

The Debt Recovery Officer is responsible for managing overdue accounts, contacting customers for payment collection, negotiating repayment plans, and minimizing financial losses for the bank or financial institution. The role requires strong communication skills, negotiation abilities, and knowledge of banking regulations and collection procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Contact customers via phone, email, and written communication regarding overdue payments.

Follow up on delinquent accounts to ensure timely debt recovery.

Negotiate repayment plans and settlements within company guidelines.

Maintain accurate records of all collection activities in the system.

Review customer financial situations to determine appropriate recovery actions.

Coordinate with legal teams for escalated recovery cases.

Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Monitor assigned portfolio and achieve monthly collection targets.

Prepare collection reports and update management on recovery status.

Handle customer complaints professionally and provide suitable solutions.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field. Fresher and

experience in banking collections, debt recovery, or credit control (preferred).

Knowledge of banking products such as loans, credit cards, and overdrafts.

Understanding of debt recovery laws and financial regulations.

Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet collection targets.

Proficiency in MS Office and banking/CRM systems.
