Vendor Management Executive Solar Epc

Position Overview

The Procurement & Vendor Management Executive will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing vendors and materials for solar EPC projects to ensure timely availability, cost optimisation, and quality compliance. The role focuses on procurement planning, vendor coordination, and inventory control in alignment with project and site requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and finalise vendors for solar modules, inverters, MMS structures, cables, BOS items, and logistics

• Negotiate pricing, credit terms, delivery schedules, and warranties to improve project margins

• Prepare and release purchase orders as per BOQ and project timelines

• Coordinate with project managers and engineers for material planning and site-wise dispatch

• Track material movement, deliveries, and consumption across sites

• Maintain inventory records and monitor excess or idle stock

• Develop and manage an approved vendor list with rate cards and performance tracking

• Ensure materials meet technical, MNRE, DISCOM, and tender specifications

• Coordinate with accounts for invoicing, GRN verification, and payments

• Handle vendor performance reviews and resolve supply or quality issues

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / BE / BTech (Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable preferred)

• 2–5 years experience in procurement/vendor management in solar EPC or infrastructure projects

• Strong negotiation, coordination, and documentation skills
