Inviting applications for the role of AM, Record to Report
In this role, we are looking for a strong SME with extensive knowledge of accounting concepts and should have managed a team with a size of 8-12 people. You will be responsible for end to end accounting and reconciliation.
Responsibilities
Team Handling Responsibilities:
o Lead and manage a team of ~ 10 professionals, including selection/hiring, objective setting, performance management, coaching/development and training
o Preparation of monthly SLAs reports of the process
o Root cause analysis (RCA) for SLA missed cases and providing fix
o Preparation and presentation of team performance deck for quarterly client review
o Preparation and uploading month incentive of the team
o Actively involved in process documentation (SOP)
Month end reporting:
o Preparing & Posting of journal entries
o Preparation of monthly financial statements
o Responsible for reviewing monthly client P&Ls and distribution
o Monthly analysis and review of balance sheet accounts and expense accounts
o Balance Sheet reconciliations
o Analysis of expense accounts – trends, reasons for increases, etc.
o Analysis and preparation/reversal of monthly accruals
o Reclass invoices to proper expense accounts to ensure costs are properly captured
o Bank Reconciliations & Open item resolutions
o Proper understanding of chart of accounts and General Ledger accounts
• Intercompany Accounting
o Review of all intercompany invoices and posting of related transactions
o Intercompany dispute resolution
o Preparation of IC mismatch report
o Reconciliation of all intercompany accounts
• Fixed Asset Accounting
o Addition of fixed asset
o Reclassification of Fixed cost
o Depreciation Journal Entry
o Fixed Asset reconciliation
o Preparation of Fixed asset register
o Thorough understanding of P/L & B/S reporting process
• SOX Compliance
o Must ensure that monthly book is complete and done in accordance with latest SOX requirements
o Work with internal and external auditors during reviews and audits to ensure full cooperation from accounting staff and compliance with all qualified requests
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree – B.Com, M.COM/MBA with significant experience in closing & reporting
• Excellent comm. skills – Verbal & Written
• Good knowledge in R2R Domain
• IFRS (Preferable)
• Good Excel and typing skills
• Must be detailed oriented, organized, with a great sense of urgency, and hard working.
